AUDIO VISUAL DAYS 2025

On October 9th, 2025, in collaboration with the Latvian Association of Architects, a seminar will take place as part of “AUDIO VISUAL DAYS 2025”. The seminar invites architects and industry professionals to shift their perspective and consider acoustics as an essential and powerful design tool in spatial planning. Its aim is to challenge the perception of acoustics as a technical constraint on unconventional ideas, and instead encourage its conscious use as a tool to create added value, comfort, and a unique atmosphere in a space.

The event is organized by Rock Distribution and VGD Project, featuring leading experts from Akukon Būvakustika and Cadrok, as well as representatives from the world-class manufacturer L-Acoustics (France). The combined experience of this team includes work on major projects such as the New Riga Theatre building complex, the reconstruction of the Latvian Puppet Theatre and Tallinn City Theatre, as well as recent projects at the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) in Stockholm and Lilla Scen.

The seminar program is structured as a continuous narrative covering the full project cycle – from philosophy to practical implementation. Local and international experts will explore acoustics as a deliberate design element (Olivers Tarvids), examine the interaction between space and sound to create unique atmospheres in practice (Julien Laval), reveal the creative potential of the latest immersive sound technologies (L-ISA, Pierre Möllerstedt), and address critically important aspects of stage mechanics and safety (Jānis Tučs). This integrated approach provides a unique insight into how ambitious artistic visions are realized through technological innovation and safe engineering solutions.
